Why is my new tattoo fading?

I have just gotten my second tattoo on my ankle 7 days ago, it is scabbing and itching at the moment. What is strange is that the colour has faded, it looks all blotchy and it just doesnt look right. I had my first tattoo on my back and there were no problems with it at all. I heard that some tattoo needs a few weeks for the colour to come back, is this true? Anyone with the same problem and what was the result? I might need to visit my tattooist again and I really dont want to!

Well if you have been scathing at it the protective scabbing will fall off and take ink with it and try and keep it moist with a good quality cream" berpantham" and no direct sunlight but your tattooist would have told you all this maybe you should go see your tattooist it might need retouching with colour good luck.

the flesh on your ankle is lean there's no meat. The bone causes the tattoo to fade before the scab can heal. I had a friend who's tattoo on her big toe did the same thing. it faded in two weeks. The tattoo artist warned her.

let is finish healing and then see whats going on… you may be fine and some of the ink is being rejected but the art wont be effect…or it may. Either way, wait until its done healing.
