Now, let’s see what are newest pain free methods for tattoo removal nowadays.

Laser surgery is the most common method of tattoo removal widely used today. It works by targeting the tattooed area with pulses of highly concentrated laser light that causes the tattoo pigment to fragment into smaller particles which are then removed by your immune system. But this method in some cases can damage your skin in form of blisters, scabs, and light scars, depending on number of treatments you have.

Pulsed light therapy is less damaging to the skin, less painful than a laser treatment, and also more effective. It works similarly to the laser treatment in a form of gel that is rubbed over the tattoo and then pulsed with light over the skin that is being treated. However this is the most expensive method of removing tattoos.

Tattoo removal creams are the most painless method available today. These creams are applied to the outer layer of skin and tattooed area, and over time fade an unwanted tattoo until it’s completely gone. Some of these creams really work, and sometimes they may just help fade or lighten the tattoo, but unlike the other methods the creams have no risk of damaging the skin.

Saline tattooing is method of “tattooing” (not injecting) saline solution over your unwanted tattoo to fade it. Saline tattooing works best with older tattoos and generally just causes fading (if anything), and is not a reliable method for tattoo removal. Fortunately, the procedure is harmless and relatively inexpensive. Although it may be hard to find a tattoo artist willing to do this for you, it is a good way to make covering up a tattoo easier.

Cover-up tattoo is much less painful and less expensive way, than any of the removal options and won’t take months of your time. A cover-up method is simply having an old tattoo covered up with a new tattoo. Some tattoo artists even specialize in cover-ups. You are limited, however, in what you can do with a cover-up tattoo. You can only cover dark inks with dark inks, and any part of your skin already tattooed will still be tattooed. Also, cover-up tattoos can really only be done once.
